Second Eleven Championship Result
Yorks 182 & 296-4
Notts 238 & 2-0
Match Drawn: Nottinghamshire 9pts, Yorkshire 8pts
Despite the best efforts of both teams, rain had the final word in this Championship fixture at Notts Sports Club.
Yorkshire resumed on 99-2 and for the first hour the Notts attack tried to part Geldart and Brophy without success. It was not until Scott Elstone came into the attack that the stand of 82 was broken as Geldart skied the ball to Akhil Patel having made 32.
Notts reverted to the irregular bowlers as they invited Yorkshire to set a target. Brophy obliged as the scoring rate increased and he was stumped by Stanworth after lunch for 81, a rare wicket for Alex Hales. The declaration came at 1.57 pm with Roebuck on 46 and Pyrah on 27 with the score at 296-4
Notts were set 241 from 55 overs of which three were bowled before rain scuppered the match
