Second Eleven Championship
Nottinghamshire v Worcestershire
Day 2 of 3
Worcestershire 343-9 declared
Nottinghamshire 452
Matthew Wood, a key component of the Notts Outlaws Twenty20 team last year, demonstrated his improving form with a classy 197 against Worcestershire Second Eleven.
Notts established a first innings lead of 109 after posting 452 all out and Wood’s five-hour stand laid a firm foundation.
Bilal Shafayat reached his fifty but his wicket saw Notts slip to 80-3. Wood and Sam Kelsall (89) put on 209 for the fourth wicket before Kelsall was caught and bowled.
Wood reached 50 from 70 balls, 100 from 151 and 150 from 205 in an innings that featured 29 fours and a six.
