Jake Libby hit top form against the white ball as Nottinghamshire’s Second XI won back-to-back T20s against Leicestershire at Grace Road.
The Outlaws right-hander was unbeaten on 27 off 15 deliveries as the visitors cantered to their rain reduced, 12 over target of 112 with 11 deliveries to spare.
Libby then cruised to 60 from 33 balls as Ant Botha’s men won the second match of the day by 46 runs defending 177.
Nottinghamshire captain Lyndon James won the toss and elected to bowl in the opening fixture.
Mark Footitt (2-30), Matthew Carter (1-16) and Liam Patterson-White (1-31) were standout performers with the ball as the hosts posted 163-6.
A shortened run-chase played into the hands of Sol Budinger. His unbeaten 71 off 35 deliveries, supported by the composure of Libby at the other end, ensured a nine-wicket victory.

Libby turned chief aggressor after Notts again won the toss in game two. The 26-year-old’s 60 included nine boundaries and just three dot balls, while James (31) and Luke Wood (35) contributed cameos of their own as the Outlaws posted 177-5.
Leicestershire were all out for 131 in reply, thanks largely to Patterson-White’s 4-24.
Nick Kimber (2-28) and Jack Blatherwick (2-15) shared four wickets. Carter’s four overs cost just 22 as nobody in the Foxes line-up passed 30.
