Nottinghamshire cricket supporters are being urged to register their interest in a series of events to celebrate the achievements of Luke Fletcher, as the talismanic bowler prepares to partake in a year of activity with the launch of his official testimonial website.
Those who wish to support the programme are asked to register their interest at LF23.co.uk, where a mailing list has been established to keep supporters informed of the events, merchandise and sporting memorabilia that will underpin his year of celebration.
Ray Burge, the Chairman of Luke’s Testimonial Committee, will manage the programme with the support of a small organising committee and a wider group of friends from the worlds of sport and entertainment.
“Luke’s connection with the members and supporters of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club is long-established and we can’t wait to join them in celebrating his achievements in the game,” said Ray.
“People can expect a programme of events of the type that Luke himself would want to attend with support from his sporting pals, honest tales of his escapades on and off the pitch and the humour that he maintains every time you’re in his company.
“We all love spending time with Luke and he wants to give back to those that have supported him since he made his debut 15 years ago during this programme of events.”
Luke’s achievements will be celebrated with a series of sporting dinners, charity fundraisers, experiential events and memorabilia auctions with a proportion of the proceeds donated to his chosen charity, PASIC, which supports families of children with cancer in the East Midlands.
