Nottinghamshire’s three-day fixture with Yorkshire fell to a draw on the final day at Lady Bay, the hosts falling 200 runs short of the target set by the White Rose with five wickets remaining when the sides shook hands.
The Green and Golds declared overnight with a deficit of 128, hoping quick wickets could force a modest run chase.
Slim ambition of such remained as the visitors were reduced to 115-5, with Farhan Ahmed - who was named in England’s U19 squad at lunchtime - claiming three scalps.
But Louie Owens combined with Jawad Akhtar to add 95 for the sixth wicket, with Notts required to chase 338 for victory in a little under two sessions.
Travis Holland, himself named in a Young Lions Representative XI alongside Freddie McCann and Tom Giles, continued his fine form with a run-a-ball 63, but after his dismissal and chances of victory scuppered, captain Sam Seecharan dug in with a 112-ball to seal a share of the spoils.
