Nottinghamshire top-order batter Ben Duckett has been included in a 15-player squad for England’s IT20 away series to Bangladesh in March.

The left-hander returned to the international fold in the shortest format for the Three Lions’ winter tour of Pakistan in 2022, and amassed 233 runs at an average of 46.60 and strike rate of 159.58.

His exploits in the subcontinent followed a run-laden campaign in the Vitality Blast, during which the 28-year-old scored 396 runs in 14 innings, including three half-centuries.

Duckett, who signed a three-year contract extension at Trent Bridge in December, was also included in England’s squad for their recent ODI series against South Africa.

He will travel to New Zealand for the two-match Test series against the Blackcaps before flying to Asia at the start of March.

A three-match ODI series will precede the IT20 fixtures – England’s first since being crowned world champions at last November’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
