When Imad Wasim was last seen in Notts colours, it was with T20 trophy and medal in hand in the autumnal gloom of 2020's behind-closed-doors Finals Day.
The Pakistan international departed Trent Bridge as a Vitality Blast winner, having secured 18 wickets across a productive two-year stint in Nottingham.
He left as a firm favourite with the Outlaws faithful, and he returns having only added to a sterling white-ball record.

2020: A PSL title as skipper
Wasim left the UK to conclude a pandemic-disrupted Pakistan Super League season, which had been abruptly put on hold in March.
The Karachi Kings captain was vital in the eliminator against Multan Sultans, steadying the ship as wickets fell before scoring the runs that prevented a defeat which was beginning to seem inevitable.
It was the final delivery of Karachi's innings that proved Wasim's white-ball street smarts.
Having hit two crucial boundaries in the penultimate over, the left-hander needed to find the fence once more to take the clash to a super over.
A flick towards backward square leg later, the scores were tied -paving the way for Karachi to progress in the tie break.
And the skipper was vital in the PSL final too.
With the ball, his first delivery lured Mohammed Hafeez into an ill-advised swipe and left Lahore Qalandars reeling at 70/3.
With the bat, he was on hand to punch the winning runs through cover to secure the silverware.
2022: More Caribbean glory
A CPL title-winner in 2016, Wasim's subsequent triumph six years later confirmed his status as one of the game's pre-eminent all-rounders.
His 17 wickets came at an average of 16, with only Alzzari Joseph and Jason Holder taking more.
A blistering, unbeaten 41 from 15 balls helped his side to a formidable 226/4 in the qualifier against Guyana Amazon Warriors, while a typically Wasim-esque run of consistency with the ball yielded crucial wickets and a scarcely-believable economy rate of 5.97 across 46 overs.
24 more international caps
Wasim has remained a familiar face on the international, scene since last departing the Outlaws, hitting a career-best IT20 score of 64* against Afghanistan earlier this year and appearing on six occasions as Pakistan reached the semi-finals of the 2021 T20 World Cup.
25 wickets, meanwhile, have arrived in those most recent appearances in his country's colours, taking his international tally to 109 in 121 white-ball outings.
