Nottinghamshire’s U18s recorded a win and a loss in their T20 friendly double header against Warwickshire at Lady Bay, with Byron Hatton-Lowe the standout performer across the day.
The Academy all-rounder scored a better than run-a-ball 29 as Notts responded to Warwickshire’s 216 in the first innings of the first game.
Saif Ali took three wickets as the visitors set a commanding total, while Hatton-Lowe claimed the only other scalp.
Notts were bowled out for 111 in response with Jacob Hughes the other batter to make it into the twenties.
Momentum shifted in the second fixture as Hatton-Lowe amassed 49 from just 29 deliveries with Notts batting first.
Joshua Beer supplemented the run-scoring with a swift 45 to set the bears 167 for victory.
Hatton-Lowe dismantled the top-order in reply, finishing with figures of 4-35, including holding his nerve in the final over with the visitors requiring 18 runs to win.
