Tom Moores followed Ben Martindale in reaching three figures for Nottinghamshire’s Second XI as the visitors took the upper hand over Kent at Beckenham.
Resuming 13 short of a ton, Moores brought up his century from 105 deliveries, hitting 11 fours and four sixes.
Olly Stone, who was unbeaten on 9 overnight, proved a capable foil, amassing an unbeaten 36 before Notts declared their innings closed on 443/6, with Moores 125 not out.
Fateh Singh secured two scalps in Kent’s first innings, luring Savin Perera into a misjudged sweep and allowing Moores to whip off the bails to remove the opener for 30.
Singh also removed Grant Stewart shortly after the Kent right-hander had reached 50, while Ekansh Singh was dismissed by James Hayes, Toby Pettman saw off Ross Richardson and Olly Stone ended captain Marcus O’Riordan on 70.
Kent declared their innings closed on 296/5, with Nottinghamshire reaching 82/1 at stumps, extending their lead to 229 runs.
