Notts Outlaws ended their Vitality T20 Blast campaign on a high with a comprehensive 28-run victory over Yorkshire Vikings at Headingley.
Young-guns Freddie McCann (48) and Sam King (44) impressed on their T20 debuts, forming an 87-run partnership before Jack Haynes smashed a 20-ball 50.
Defending 109, Calvin Harrison then claimed standout figures of 2-19 from four overs, as Notts ended the hosts' chance of qualification through to the knockout stages.
Having impressed on England U19 duty, McCann - an Academy product with Nottinghamshire - opened the batting but was joined by his fellow debutant in the second over after Joe Clarke was bowled by Ben Cliff.
King took no time in taking the game to the Vikings, smashing his third ball straight back over the bowler’s head for four before McCann fired the final three balls of the fifth over to the boundary to carry Notts to 53-1 after the powerplay.
After smashing three sixes in a row in the previous over, King was then caught off the bowling of Jordan Thompson while McCann departed in the 13th over with 125 on the board but the tempo had been set.
Haynes followed King’s departure and took Dom Bess for 23 from a single over, and he followed that up with some precision hitting to take back-to-back fours off Moriarty and two maximums in a row the following over.
Tom Moores also joined in on the act as he looked to ensure the aggression was on show from both ends, before Calvin Harrison gave Notts impetus heading into the break.
The Outlaws’ momentum carried over into Yorkshire’s innings as Olly Stone had Will Luxton caught in the deep.
Luke Fletcher then took two wickets in a row to apply even more pressure. His first came as Adam Lyth pulled it straight to King at deep square leg before Shan Masood top edged the ball straight up to McCann next ball.
Harrison's impact turned from bat to ball with George Hill bowled and Donoven Ferreira holing out to Olly Stone to reduce the home side to 105/5 in the 12th over.
Fazalhaq Farooqi was the sole remaining wicket taker, but a tight finish from the visitors' attack ensured the Outlaws finished their Vitality Blast campaign positively.
