Joe Clarke has been awarded April’s John Pye Auctions Player of the Month award after his stunning start to the red-ball season.
The Nottinghamshire number four began the summer with a century against Essex, before reaching three figures once more in a drawn encounter at home to Worcestershire.
But it was his exploits at Taunton which were most eye-catching, hitting an unbeaten 213 in a county-record third-wicket stand with Will Young to secure a share of the spoils against Somerset.
Clarke was presented with his award ahead of Notts Outlaws' opening Vitality Blast fixture of the season, with Paralympic champion and world record holder Richard Whitehead joining a John Pye Auctions representative to hand over the honour.
