So far, so good. We're still on for an 11am start, and Somerset choose to bowl first in this shortened 20-over contest.
10.25am:
More news from above - the toss will be slightly delayed to 10.40am, and the game moves to 20 overs a side for the best possible chance of a result.
Fingers crossed that we are able to get going.
10am:
And we've just heard word over the tannoy that, as expected, we'll have the coin toss at 10.30am, followed by the start of play at 11am if the weather behaves.
9.45am:
Good morning from West Bridgford, where conditions are gloomy - but, for the time being, dry.
We'll continue to bring updates as Glamorgan and Somerset hope to battle it out on the field for the 50-over trophy.
Monday 23 September (reserve day)
*******
2.35pm:
No play has been possible in the Metro Bank One Day Cup Final between Glamorgan and Somerset, with both sides set to return for the reserve day tomorrow (Monday 23 September), with an 11am start scheduled.
Attendees unable to make the reserve day are entitled to a refund of their match ticket, with more information arriving after the conclusion of the fixture.
For those in hospitality or the Century Club, only the match the ticket portion of the package will be refunded.
Bridge Field parking will not be refunded, however, free parking will be available for all ticket-holders tomorrow at the Nottinghamshire Sports Ground in Lady Bay.
1.50pm:
Latest word is that should the rain fail to relent by 2.33pm, play will be abandoned for the day. This is due to the time needed to drain the pitch of water entirely.
We therefore have just over half an hour for the rain to cease, otherwise we'll be back here to go again tomorrow.
1.30pm:
Lunch comes and goes, but the covers remain in place.
The latest start time for today is 4.02pm. If there has been no play by then, we will return tomorrow for the reserve day.
12.30pm:
Update! But not necessarily the kind we were hoping for.
Lunch (in substitution for the scheduled interval break) will be taken at 1pm.
12pm:
The downpour had relented somewhat for a brief period, but the weather is refusing to let up entirely.
In a two-word summary: still wet.
11am:
We're currently being taunted by the PA system, which is playing Heatwaves by Glass Animals.
It's still wet.
10am:
The light rain continues for now. The forecast for today, coincidentally, remains unkind.
As a result, the toss - which was scheduled for 10.30am - is delayed.
9.30am:
Gates are open, but the skies remain heavy.
A steady drizzle is falling.
8.30am:
It's spitting.
After a significant amount of rain overnight, the skies remain grey, and the covers are on.
