Liam Patterson-White hit a century and took a seven-wicket haul as Nottinghamshire’s Second XI seized control of their clash with Durham at Lady Bay.

After a rain-ruined first day, the all-rounder played a starring role with the bat on day two, hitting a run-a-ball 165 which included 15 fours and seven sixes.

He was well supported by Sammy King, who made a composed 96 and shared in a fourth-wicket stand of 227 runs.

The spinner then ran through the Durham batting line-up to finish with figures of 7/54 as the visitors were bundled out for 260.

Patterson-White secured two of the three wickets to fall as Durham followed on, with the Lions reaching 253/3, leading by 102 runs, as stumps were called on day three.
