Dillon Pennington has been called up for the ongoing England Lions tour of Australia.
The seamer, who was Notts’ leading red-ball wicket-taker in 2024, heads Down Under for the remaining two fixtures of the tour, with the Lions facing a Cricket Australia XI from 22-25 January in Brisbane, before an unofficial four-day Test in Sydney from 30 January to 2 February.
The 25-year-old, who earned his first call-up to the England Test squad last summer, toured South Africa with the Lions in November and December last year.
Pennington travels to Australia having been part of an ECB training camp in the UAE.
He joins Nottinghamshire stablemate Freddie McCann in the squad, who scored 46 runs in the Lions’ defeat to a Cricket Australia XI in the first fixture of the tour.
