Joe Root, Nat Sciver-Brunt, Rashid Khan and Alana King will all be back in action at Trent Bridge in The Hundred next season, with Trent Rockets confirming the retention of 14 players across both teams on Deadline Day.

Blockbuster trio Alex Hales, Lewis Gregory and Luke Wood are among the names will return for Trent Rockets men, while the women’s team have also retained both Bryony Smith and Kirstie Gordon.

The retention list leaves 13 spots to be filled at The Hundred Draft powered by Sage.

That will take place at The Shard on Wednesday 20 March, live-streamed from 5.30pm on thehundred.com, YouTube and TikTok. Each team will take it in turns to select domestic and overseas players to complete their squads.

Trent Rockets’ fourth season in The Hundred gets underway at Headingley on Friday 26 July.

Their first home game at Trent Bridge is on Wednesday 31 July, one of 68 matchdays across the tournament promising world-class men’s and women’s sporting action, live music, and a host of family-friendly entertainment.

Trent Rockets all-rounder Rashid Khan said: “I’m so glad to be back at Trent Rockets for The Hundred this season. I was really disappointed to have to miss the competition last year, and it’s exciting to be able to return and hopefully to help the team to progress. We have kept our squad together since the first year and I think that will help us. I’m really excited about getting back in front of the fans at Trent Bridge.”

Nat Sciver-Brunt, the No.1 ranked batter in women’s ODI cricket, said: “I’m really pleased to be retained by Trent Rockets again this year. Trent Bridge is a great place to play cricket and the Rockets fans always turn the stadium yellow in their support for us. We've got the motivation to get back in the qualification spots and, with a similar squad and the additions still to come, we're confident we can do that.”

A further Nottinghamshire quartet have retained their places in the competition, with Ben Duckett to represent Birmingham Phoenix, Joe Clarke retained by Welsh Fire, Olly Stone staying at London Spirit and Josh Tongue remaining at Manchester Originals.

A record 580,000 fans were in attendance across The Hundred last season, including over 300,000 in the women’s competition. The Hundred’s blend of high-quality sport and entertainment saw 41% of all tickets sold to families, 23% to juniors and 30% to women.  

2024 Nottinghamshire members will be able to benefit from early access to tickets for this summer's entertainment from Wednesday 6 March.

From 13-27 March, there will be an exclusive window open to buy tickets for fans who have previously attended The Hundred. There will be a priority window open from 9-23 April for all fans who sign up in advance at thehundred.com.    

The general sale period begins from 25 April.   

Tickets are priced at £5 for juniors aged 3-15 (free for under 3s), with adult seats starting from £11. The Hundred season tickets, meanwhile, have sold out across all eight venues. 

All games will be live on Sky Sports and BBC broadcast and digital channels throughout the competition.
