Akand Gangotra’s lower-order resistance wasn’t enough to see Nottinghamshire’s U18s to victory over Worksop College.
Gangotra’s counter-attacking 33 from 28 balls was the top score for Notts in reply to Worksop’s 173/3 from 20 overs, but the Outlaws were ultimately dismissed for 104.
He found support from Saif Ali, who made 20 batting at number nine, after the pair each picked up a wicket in the Worksop innings.
Krrish Patel also secured a scalp, finishing with figures of 1/21 from three overs, but Worksop’s opening stand of 95 proved crucial in setting up their victory.
